BARC Stipendiary Trainee Recruitment 2020: Age Limit (As on January 31, 2021)

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Category 1

Written test of 1 hour duration will be taken and it will consist of 40 objective type multiple choice questions. The text description of the said examination will be of diploma / bachelor's (science) level as the case may be. Candidates who qualify in the written test will be short-listed for interview. Interview date will be notified later. Three marks will be given for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. 

Final selection and ranking will be done on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the interview and the marks in the written examination will not be given any importance. The decision of Napuboard in this regard will be final.

Selection Process Category 2

The selection process will consist of three Stage exams - Stage 1, Stage 2 and Stage 3.

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

Candidates will be screened for short listing. The format for the examination will be the same for all businesses and will be in the following format.

1) There will be 50 multiple choice questions (option of four answers) for the duration of 1 hour in the exam in the following ratio: -

AMathematics20 Questions
BScience20 Questions
AGeneral Knowledge10 questions

2) 3 marks will be given for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. All candidates with <40% in General category and <30% in reserved category will be trimmed.

Stage 2: Advanced Examination

All the candidates shortlisted in Stage 1 will be allowed to participate in Stage 2 (Advanced Examination) in their respective professions.

BARC Jobs Notification Important Links:

1) The exam will have 50 multiple choice questions (option of four answers) for a period of 2 hours.

2) Three marks will be given for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

3) After Stage 2, the merit list of the candidates will be prepared and it will be based on the marks of Stage 2 only.

All the candidates with <30% in General category and <20% in reserved category will be trimmed.

Stage 3

Skill test

Candidates for Stage 3 will be shortlisted based on the merit list prepared after Stage 2. Candidates who pass the skill test will be short listed and nominated, which will be in order of merit based on the stage 2 score.

1) The number of short-listed candidates for the skill test will depend on the number of candidates who qualify for Stage 2. But the number of vacancies in each business shall not exceed 4 to 5 times. The skill test will be based on speed-movement (go-no-go)
